Cliffsend Parish Council is deeply disappointed to share the news that the Government has granted approval for the National Grid Sea Link project.

Throughout the consultation process, the Parish Council has made its opposition to the proposals clear, raising concerns about the potential impact on our village, local environment and residents.

Whilst this decision is not the outcome we had hoped for, our commitment to protecting the interests of Cliffsend and its residents remains unchanged.

As the project progresses, the Parish Council will continue to engage with National Grid and relevant authorities, ensuring that residents' concerns are heard and that disruption to the village is kept to an absolute minimum.

We will also act as a key local point of contact for residents experiencing disruption or difficulties arising from the works, helping to raise concerns and seek appropriate responses wherever possible.

We recognise that this news will be disappointing and concerning for many residents, and we want to reassure the community that we will continue to represent and support Cliffsend throughout the project.
